Hey guys! Oh man it has been a looooong time since I wrote a journal here. I just find it so much easier to use Facebook and Instagram (links below), as I don't spend a lot of time on the computer. DA isn't exactly easy to use on a phone... Also I moved in December, to a whole different state! I'm back in Utah where my whole family lives and I'm so much happier. Had some really rough times in California being so far away from everyone I cared about. So it's nice to be home, and in a freaking house! Our house here is cheaper than the dinky little two bed apartment in California. It's so nice to have all this space. Ember loves having all this room to run around in, and I finally have an actual studio again!   

It took me a while to get back to dragoning because I got all absorbed in organizing and designing the house. Once that bug finally started wearing off I decided a good way to get back to it would be to make dragons based off the rooms in my home. It was a fun little project! I also made some taco dragons because Ember wanted more tiny food for her calico critter dolls. I just made some extra for the dragons while I was at it!

Hey everyone. Jeez I can't believe its been three months since I last wrote anything here. As many of you know I tend to use mainly facebook now because its super convenient and easy, but even there I haven't had much going on lately. I was having a really hard time for a while being motivated to do much of anything. Went through a phase where I just felt really down and burnt out. But I've worked through it and finally the desire to make my little dragons is coming back, and my worries and troubles in life don't feel so heavy. It's good to be creating again.

On that note I did just have a sale, (which unfortunately I totally forgot to journal about in time, sorry) but I do have a few little guys up on ebay right now. The next etsy sale will probably be in in 2-3 weeks.

Unfortunately my oven is being crazy and messing up sculptures so I won't be sculpting much until it is fixed. The thing is brand new too! It either nukes everything or loses heat completely, which is exceptionally frustrating. Hopefully they can repair it quickly.

I made a very pretty little rainbow angel dragon and the oven murdered him. He partly burned, partly undercooked, and his poor eyes bugged out and cracked! He's a wreck and I am so annoyed. He was such a pretty little guy and I can't fix him... curse you stupid oven!

If you haven't seen these dragons yet, yes they are inspired by "the dress". After a long and pointless debate over that stupid thing with my husband (we each saw the opposite colors), we decided it didn't really matter and was in fact both colors. It really just depended on perception. And so he jokingly suggested I make a dragon couple in those colors. The colors actually go really nicely, and I ended up putting way more time into these than I ever really planned to. At least SOMEthing good came out of all that dress nonsense, right?

Anyway, the set is now up on ebay for anyone interested. They would make a fantastic cake topper, for all of you out there STILL trying to request one from me. Commissions are closed indefinitely guys, sorry

Man...I feel like I post so little anymore. Takes me forever to finish things... I've been trying to relax more and not push myself to work so much. I got reeeally burnt out during the holidays, and in general tend to be a bit of a workaholic. But I realized I was watching Ember all day, keeping house and running errands, and then jumping right into sculpting once she'd go to bed and stay up waaay too late on projects. I was basically working solid everyday, with pretty much no down time. So I've gotten back into gaming, and even reading. I've been playing Majora's Mask recently, never actually beat it way back when on the 64. I've enjoyed spending more time NOT worrying so much about being crazy productive, and I've been happier for it. It's just made me realize everyone needs some downtime in their day, or they just become a machine. I of course still sculpt when I can, but I don't try to do so every little chance I get. It's just not worth the stress and potential burnout. If I feel inspired to work, I work. If not, I don't push it.

It is funny though, sometimes I think back on those days before I had Ember and wonder what on earth did I do with all that free time?! Definitely took it for granted
