How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Valentines stuff!

I'll be listing the valentine critters in my etsy shop tomorrow night (Monday) about 6pm California time. I'll add a few more pics to the gallery tomorrow that will also be available.

I can only guarantee these by Valentine's day in the states at this point. Sorry I didn't get more made sooner. I just got so involved with plushie experimentation

It's nice to be back to sculpting. I know some people were concerned I'd just dropped it entirely and moved to plushies, so don't worry about that. Sculpting will always be my greatest artistic passion! It's just good to try something new now and then. I've even started messing with colored pencils and acrylic painting as well. I actually signed up for a couple art classes. They're not exactly expert level classes, just community ones, but I'm surprised at how much I'm actually learning, or rather re-learning what I have long forgotten from college. I'll be sitting there thinking, "Yeah I know that. And that. Aaaand that....whoa wait what? Go back and explain that again!"

In traditional drawing/ painting I have always been terrible with lighting and shadows, so that is what I'm trying to focus on improving in my colored pencil class. The teacher had the brilliant idea that I sculpt a grey dragon and then bring it to class to draw. Basically, it's dragon still-life! Genius! I very much enjoy that class

I'm also taking acrylic painting, because I am awful at landscapes. I think that is because I much prefer to just make the character and get incredibly bored having to give them a setting. I'm trying it out anyway and it's not too bad. Though, I just ITCH to paint a big freaking dragon in the middle of it all. It takes all my willpower to focus on just painting the landscape. I'm honestly a bit bored with the class, so it may just not be my thing O_o

I think I will definitely try to do the occasional dragon drawing/ painting. They're a fun break from sculpting when I need it. And I forgot just how much I freaking LOVE colored pencils

I think it is good that you do many mediums. Concentrating on one thing must be boring sometimes. Like wanting to stretch, and not being able to.
I would love to see a dragon painting. You once made a small dragon laying on a pile of gold. It be be so cool to paint that with a inside castle kind of background.
