Alright. Soooo I know I said I would be opening commissions for Christmas... but after a great deal of thought, I have decided to close them until January... *runs from the hate storm* :sprint:

Here is why:
I've been feeling pretty burnt out on commissions. So much so that I have a hard time working on the darn things. It keeps me from even entering the studio some days. I dawdle and procrastinate or find things around the house that must be cleaned RIGHT NOW or some such nonsense. Whereas if I were just going to make whatever I felt like that day, I'd plug away for hours happily! The last 2 years I really didn't get to make any fun Christmas stuff I wanted to make because I had a solid wall of commissions. So really I just want this once to actually make some of the fun Christmas critters rattling around in my head. I had a blast making all the Halloween stuff, but felt incredibly guilty the whole time I was making them because of looming commissions. I busted all those guys out in less than a week because I was having so much FUN! I wanted so badly to make more, but I knew I had to be responsible and get my commissions done. I've just not been very happy making things that aren't my own lately. Of course I put all I have into them, but it takes a lot to work myself up to it it seems. I have to be in the right mood for it. And that is VERY bad for productivity :(

So I apologize to all of you who have been waiting diligently for commissions to open again. I genuinely feel bad, but I really can't tell you how much of a relief it is now that I've made the decision. To have a solid month of just whatever I want to make sounds absolutely heavenly!

Now before you start cursing me, let me tell you my plans for this glorious month of freedom:
The 3 years of Christmas idea backlog will come pouring out in the most awesome way. Mini reindeer and Christmas ponies, scarved dragons and ratties, maybe even some other fun critters might get thrown in the mix. Maybe some penguins and arctic foxes, who knows! And for those of you who wanted something NOT Christmas related, there will be something as well. I have been dying to make more rainbow dragons and ponies, dice dragons, butterfly dragons, and ratty magnets! There are so many things I want to make but haven't given myself the time for. Basically the benefit of no commissions equates to a much much larger inventory in the shop this season, so even more people will have a chance to get something special :D

I know this is kind of a bummer to those of you who have waited so patiently, but I assure you commissions slots will open again when I'm ready. They may be a lot fewer and far between from now on, but they will open again I promise. Right now, I really need some time to let my creativity flow freely :)

Yeah! Good choice. Commissions can really take it out of an artist when the stress gets too bad. Can't wait to see what your next burst of creativity makes!
