Still closed, but finally a commission info page!It's now mid-July and I'm sure many of you are wondering about commissions opening again. Well, because of the back up on orders from the wrist injury, my schedule got pretty thrown off. I had hoped to be finished with all my orders by early July and take a week or two off before diving back into work. So here is an updated schedule.
I'm finishing the last couple orders this week (finally!) and will be taking the rest of July off. So the tentative reopening will be August 1st. Of course, I will confirm it closer to the date, but it really depends on how I'm feeling by then. I gotta be honest, I am feeling pretty burnt out lately and have really struggled getting these last orders completed. I think a week of relaxation should be sufficient, but we'll see. I am not taking a single order until the day I reopen. There is no waiting list, and no exceptions.

I reserve the right not to post ALL commissions in my DA gallery (because sometimes it's too much, and it spam my gallery and my watcher). For chibi commission, I'll probably do chibi set for the next session, because it's also too much (I've done 14 chibis this session and I've spammed everybody '^^)
So don't feel offended if I don't post your commission, or if your chibi is posted with someone's else, I just want to avoid to have too much commissions artworks and less personnal artworks here.

These guys are hand-painted and hand-sewn, with sculpted parts cast in resin from our original sculpts so they're nice and sturdy (as in extremely). These prices are listed in CDN dollars, and don't include shipping. We don't accept USD - paypal charges us a fee for USD payments. That usually runs from between $10 and $30, depending where in the world its headed. For most of these guys going to the US would be about $10.
What's a custom?
As soon as our website is operational, custom orders will be split into two tiers, basic and complex.

FAQWhat are your sculptures made of?
It's called Premo Sculpey. It is just my preferred brand of Sculpey. It is an oven bake, polymer clay. You can bake your pieces right in your home oven, so you really don't need any big expensive equipment! You can pick up Sculpey at most arts and craft stores. I get mine at Michaels and Joanns. I don't buy online so unfortunately I can't recommend any sites.
Why Premo Sculpey? Isn't it more expensive than normal Sculpey III?
It does cost more, but I usually stock up when there are sales. It is much stronger than regular Sculpey, and has a firmer consistency. Normal Sculpey tends to be too soft most of the time and really likes to hold fingerprints.
What about Super Sculpey?
I use that too on occasion. It is the strongest Sculpey, but only comes in that ugly beige color. I prefer to work with colored clays whenever possible. I only use Super Sculpey when I really need the extra strength on a delicate sculpture.

I no longer take commissions, but this pricing guide can be used as a rough idea of what to expect from my pieces when they go up for sale in my etsy shop: [link]

Basic Dragon, roughly 2-2.5 inches: $50 - $70
Small cute wings, simple pose. Often one prop included (gem, dice, necklace, etc.) Price goes up with details like rainbow colors, extra paint jobs, pose, and bigger wings.

Small dragon, around 1.5-2 inches: $35- $50
The images show the progression in detail and price.

Deluxe dragon, 3-4 inches max: $70 - $200
These dragons may have extensive paint jobs, more complex poses, and greater detail. Some examples in ascending price order:

Oriental / maned dragon: $140 - $200
Placing each hair on these dragons takes an exceptional amount of time, and glazing all that hair by hand takes quite a while. Price varies depending on face detail and fluffiness of the mane.

Butterfly / Perched Dragon, between 3.5 and 4 inches long: $70- $90
These dragons are a bit more complex in pose, and can balance on your finger. They have a metal loop in their neck so they can be hung up as well. They are usually 65, but can go up in price with details, paint jobs and wing size.

Dragon Couple, 4 inches max: $140 - $200
These start at 120 for about 3 inches and are 140 at the maximum 4 inches for a basic dragon couple. Making two dragons work together is more work than just a single dragon. More complicated poses and details drive price up as well. Heart-shaped tails are also extra as they are very tricky to make just right.

Pony, 1.5 inches: $40-$50
Almost all simple ponies are $40 unless they have extra details (flowers, stripes, hats, rainbow hair, etc.)

Gryphon, 1.5 inches: $40-$50
A basic gryphon is usually $40. All those tiny feathers are a lot of work! Extra colors or a theme can drive up the price a bit.

Rats, 1.5-2 inches: $15 -$40
A basic sitting or sleeping rat is $30. Price goes up with size, props, the addition of angel wings, and if it is made to hang.

Other beasties: $35 - $100
Most very simple beasties are around $35 unless they have an extensive paint job (stripes, spots, accessories, etc.) or tricky pose.

Dragon Plushies: $70- $90

Please do not send me commission requests. I will just tell you I don't take them anymore.

I don't do commissions meaning I don't take requests or anything I just make my own things now and sell them. If someone wants to know the pricing of what one of my sculptures would possibly be I tell them so they can save the money, etc.
