as my assistant. She doesn't have much on her DA page yet, but I am encouraging her to build up her online portfolio. She already enjoys sculpting and has made some really cute little dudes while she's been here in the studio. She's been a huge help this week with getting caught up on emails. She's a rockstar so far and a lot of fun to work with! 
Now, I don't want anyone to think this makes my emails and messages less personal. I get asked a lot of the same things over and over, so they're easily answered, but just take time. More complicated ones Dezi reads to me, and I tell her what to type in response, so she is basically just taking dictation. It's a huge relief knowing I'm caught up online, and now I can get everything else in order with her help. The actual hiring part, getting all the legal bits in order, is a bit of a pain, but once it is done things should move very smoothly from here on out.
Also, thanks to everyone else that offered their services. I really appreciate it! I think I'd like to organize some kind of art/crafting get together, just so I can meet some of you guys. I didn't realize I had so many local followers here in Orange County! We could get together once or twice a month and share our projects, maybe have someone each time demonstrate a particular skill, or we could all work on a project. I think it would be a lot of fun to meet like minded people and learn some new things while we're at it! What do you local peeps think? Any suggestions for meeting places? Would enough of you be interested? I know a lot of people were interested in classes, and I may still do that eventually too, but for now I like the get together idea a lot.
Lastly, I know everyone is anxious for commissions to open up. I'm just about done with the last few commissions on my current list, and then I will decide the date. Should be very soon, so keep an eye out for the next journal when I'll announce it!
