Well, I've finally gotten back into the swing of things. Initially I was having kind of a hard time getting back to work, but I think it is because I felt like I had to dive into commissions immediately when all I wanted to do was make Halloween stuff! Now that I got that out of my system, I'm steamrolling through my commission list. Just a handful more to go and I'll be able to start taking Christmas commissions! I'm planning to start that early November. Not sure of the exact date just yet. I do want to have time to work on my own Christmasy critters, so again I will be limiting the amount I take. So if any of you are contemplating getting something from me for Christmas, head on over to the commission pricing page [link] and get an idea of what you are looking for before you ask.

I'm curious, when are all you good people on DA most? Last time I opened commissions people got upset because they weren't on and missed the window. I'm in California so everything is earlier here. Are weekends better to announce it? Nighttime (which would be like late afternoon for me I guess)? I'm trying to figure out when to say GO and give more people a shot.

Also, I have been just AWFUL about answering the backlog of notes. It's just so...DAUNTING. There are months worth in my inbox now. It's kind of like writing a 20 page essay: everytime I think to confront it I conveniently find something else to do... it's things like this that make me really want to get an assistant. Just to come help out for a day or two a week. I am so bad at keeping up with stuff that isn't sculpting, I could use the help. I don't really know how to go about it though

Anyway, one way or another everyone will be answered before I open for commissions again. I promise.

i work overnights now. So late afternoons and evenings, and friday/sat/sun would result in more likely chance to catch a commission. Also, leaving them open for at least an entire day, possibly two.

I'm in AU and got no idea about time zones but maybe let us know a few days in advance.

It is more important to me to know which day they will be open than time. I have never see the commissions open and I've been following you since spring. I assume since you do such amazing work that they don't stay open long and that is why I miss it :( So, yup, give us a day and I'll make every effort to be here at the right time :)

PS I'm so glad you are feeling better :D

I'm in Australia and I am pretty sure I was up quite late when I saw your commissions were open.
Maybe if you give advance notice into when you're commissions open again - like a week notice and then a reminder two days or the day before notice? That might help -shrugs-
(also I'm so excited for when you get around to mine - your work just keeps getting better and better :D - thank you again!)

I'm in Irvine. I'm looking into actually hiring someone to come by and help like twice a week, but gotta figure out all the legalities and such first. Which is super lame :XD:

It isn't lame at all. You don't want to rush into anything that you aren't fully informed about. My suggestion is that you ask for references or their qualifications. I live in North Hollywood which is about an hour away and would be happy to come and help out with what ever you need. I wish you luck on finding someone.

Oh the interviewing and reference part isn't an issue at all, it's the legal stuff I worry about and don't fully understand D:

Thanks for the offer, but jeez an hour drive? Yuck. But then I deplore driving more than 20 minutes at a time ever, especially on our freeways of insanity :XD:
