This was just a single dragon topper. She's reaaaally pearly. Usually my pearl dragons are made in white then dusted with pearl powder, but the bride requested I use the actual pearl colored clay as it comes out a bit more off white. It also leaves a slight marbling effect in some places. It's pretty rad
She's actually the biggest dragon I've made so far. She is 4 inches tall, and I've made toppers that tall before, but they are usually sitting up or standing. I sort of spaced the fact that she would be even bigger since she was laying down and had to reach 4 inches You can see just how much of a difference 2 inches makes in my dragons by comparing little Smaug (my normal size) to this giant here: [link] People don't seem to think a couple little inches should be that much of a difference, but when you work as small as I do, it really is. Bigger critters require some completely different techniques, greater reinforcement in the clay, and keeping so much surface area smooth can get a bit ridiculous... this is the last dragon of this size I will make for a while
Hand-sculpted from colored Premo Sculpey clay, 4 inches tall. Commissions are CLOSED but you can find my commission info for when I reopen here: [link]
QUESTIONS??? Please visit my FAQ page [link] before asking questions about techniques and materials. Just about every question I get is covered there. I’m not trying to be rude, I just get tired of answering the same questions over and over.
She is lovely also. I have seen other dragons of yours, and I can only repeat myself. They are amazing and cute and makes me smile and adore them Sorry for not replying for all of those which I collect to my favs, but as I told you: I would just repeat myself
