The first of the elementals! The leaf dragons are a type of earth dragon.
I had so much fun working on these guys! Omg the baby...da baby! I love him to pieces. I love their leaf mohawks and their wings. I ended up scoring every single leaf by hand. I actually have some random leaf molds, but they felt like cheating. Plus they are kinda more work than they are really worth and you can't really vary the size. Molds are overrated
I left them unglazed aside from the eyes and claws, because they are such natural creatures, and the clay looks so fantastically earthy matte. I've kind of been digging the unglazed look more and more lately, with just touches of glaze here and there where appropriate, so it may become a more frequent thing. It'll depend on each individual project I suppose

Hay I like your dragon and would like to know how you get them so smooth. I can't seem to get my clay smooth they always have my fingerprints on them.
