Leaf Dragons by DragonsAndBeasties Leaf Dragons by DragonsAndBeasties
The first of the elementals! The leaf dragons are a type of earth dragon.

I had so much fun working on these guys! Omg the baby...da baby! I love him to pieces. I love their leaf mohawks and their wings. I ended up scoring every single leaf by hand. I actually have some random leaf molds, but they felt like cheating. Plus they are kinda more work than they are really worth and you can't really vary the size. Molds are overrated :XD:

I left them unglazed aside from the eyes and claws, because they are such natural creatures, and the clay looks so fantastically earthy matte. I've kind of been digging the unglazed look more and more lately, with just touches of glaze here and there where appropriate, so it may become a more frequent thing. It'll depend on each individual project I suppose :D

They are both SOLD.

Wow! Those are amazing. I think the unglazed look is more appealing than the glazed ^^ I like how the claws are glazed though, it makes it seem like they are really smooth and shiny but sharp too.

How long does it take for you to make these?? =O

Probably 5+ hours? It's hard to say because I'm normally making several things at a time xD
