These two were made to go with this topper: and a close up of just the dragons:
Gotta say, making flutes wasn't really that fun... maybe if I had straight stemmed glasses to work with it may have gone better, but these dragons were fighting gravity on those coned shape stems. I actually failed my first attempt at these, which REALLY pissed me off. I had even done a test set before I started the actual project to get an idea of how to do it! I stormed out of the studio and didn't return for a day or two because I was so disgusted with my failure. It is rare I can't figure a sculpture out, but THIS one got me. Even when I went back to the studio I shunned the project until I'd finished all my other projects, and it was the last one left. I had to scrap the first dragons and start over. Now that it is done, I am pretty happy with it, but I do not want to make flutes ever again

I think these turned out LOVELY. I'm sure it was incredibly frustrating, but it was WORTH IT. I bet the commissioner will love them, congratulations on getting over a difficult project!
awww... It sucks that you wouldn't want to make them again, but if it was that frustrating trying to figure it out, I don't blame you but these are absolutely amazing!! excellent work
They are lovely. I can imagine how much work you had to do to make this. But it turned out so well. I am glad that you decided tot give it another shot and that it came out this wonderfull
Are they REAL, musical flutes? Or is there another definition of flute? XD
