Dichroic by DragonsAndBeasties Dichroic by DragonsAndBeasties
Commissioned be :icondracona-fin: of their character Dichroic.

Those wings. Omg :dead: I absolutely love this dragon's design, and went a bit above and beyond on the wings. They were a big fat pain in the butt, but they just had to be big and grand! Nothing else would do. :XD:

Commissions are currently closed, but pricing can be found here: [link] for future reference

Hand-sculpted from Premo Sculpey clay, about 4 inches tall, stripes painted with acrylics

QUESTIONS???
Please visit my FAQ page [link] before asking questions about techniques and materials. Just about every question I get is covered there. Iím not trying to be rude, I just get tired of answering the same questions over and over ^^;

I'm absolutely in love with these wings. I usually like to put big wings on my dragons, it enhances them, but they're so hard! Do you have any tips on how you made these particular ones? (I left a comment on your FAQ page ^^;)

I used wire in the spines of the wing! Helps a lot (:

I always use wire, but the "membrane" parts are hard to attach in between each spine. They either fall off (before baking) or have little gaps between the membrane and the spine. It's hard to explain, but anyway, maybe it just comes with practice!
Thanks for your time :)
